VALERIE FREEMAN, CEO, Imprimis Group
Valerie Freeman is the founder and CEO of Texas based Imprimis Group (Imprimis Staffing, Freeman+Leonard, BravoTech, and Human Capital Solutions), leading suppliers of staffing, recruiting, human resources and outsourcing services. She has built one of the largest independently owned staffing companies in Texas. Valerie was recently awarded “Outstanding Business Leader” by Northwood University. She was also inducted into the Women’s Business Enterprise Hall of Fame for her many years of business success and contribution to the WBE community. Imprimis was named Women’s Business Enterprise of the Year by the Women’s Business Council of the Southwest and Valerie received the Athena Award from the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce and the “Real Girls, Real Women” Award from the Girl Scouts of NE Texas. She was also honored as one of the 25 most influential women in business by the Dallas Business Journal and is a past recipient of the National Association of Women Business Owners “National Business Owner of the Year”, Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year”, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s “Business Star” and Sterling Bank’s Inspiring Women Award. Valerie holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Houston where she was honored as a Distinguished Alum.
About the Presenters
DEBBIE HERD, SVP, Director of Talent Management & Learning, Comerica Bank
Debbie’s background is in talent strategy, organizational development, leadership development, recruitment, succession management, HR systems and retail business operations. Comerica has been honored as one of the 50 Best Companies for Latinos, Top 50 Community Minded Companies, Corporate Diversity Leader and many others. Prior to Comerica 5 years ago, Debbie was with Hanson Building Materials and JCPenney Company. She holds a B.S. from Texas Tech, MBA from Texas Woman’s University and M.S. in Organizational Development and Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University.
ED McFALLS, AVP-HR and Diversity, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF)
BNSF has over 41,000 employees in 28 states and Canada. Ed has been with BNSF for over 10 years and has been instrumental in helping BNSF receive recognition as the Best Diversity Company of Diversity/Careers in Engineering and Information Technology for 7 years in a row. Before his role at BNSF, Ed was the Director of Human Resources for Coors Brewing Company and U.S. Robotics. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Coe College in Iowa.
DIANA MEISENHELTER, Head of Talent Acquisition, FedEx Office
FedEx Office has over 15,000 employees in 1,800 plus centers in the U.S. and Canada. For over 20 years, Diana has worked in a variety of industries including hospitality, healthcare, IT and retail. Prior to her role at FedEx Office, Diana was with Riviera Advisors, a human resources consulting firm. She was also previously the Vice President of Staffing and Talent Acquisition at Wyndham International. She holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland.
